Submitted by Chrzanek a Cross Country Rider from Warsaw, Poland
Date Reviewed: April 2, 2003
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $25.00
Purchased At:Bike Store in Warsaw
Strengths:Works very good. It has good strength(they are seriously bend my chainstay), and modulation. Chiper than XT twice, a little bit weaker.
Weaknesses:ANY!!!!!!!!
Similar Products Used:Tektro ?, Avid Ad3
Bike Setup:Giant Xtc 900'99 Mars Elite, XT, sram 9.0 brakes
Bottom Line:The best V brakes without parell push. I use LX canti brake levers, and Sram 9.0, and I'm alive :))) Better than LX!!! I give 4 chillis becouse of XT :)))))) They are only comparable with XT, i have never ridden top Avid brakes, so I can not compare with it. The Best relation price to value on market!!!!!!!!!

Date Reviewed: March 8, 2003
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $39.00
Purchased At:jensonUSA
Strengths:simple, light, strong braking, cheap
Weaknesses:the "shark fin" doesn't really aid unhooking the brake.n Adjustments take forever...
Bike Setup:1994 Stumpjumper M2 with 1" Judy XC.
Bottom Line:Good Stuff, this is my first pair of linear brakes. Adjustments are nerveracking, maybe that's the same for all v-type brakes. Less parts than than the parallel push design, and it looks pretty slick.

Submitted by Gekko a Cross Country Rider from Budapest, Hungary, Europe
Date Reviewed: October 11, 2002
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $40.00
Strengths:Works very good. The deore xt is just a bit better but it costs twice as much so its not worth it.(here in hungary)
Weaknesses:Haven't whitnessed any.
Similar Products Used:Alhonga linear pull break
Bike Setup:Magellan Pyxis, Psylo xc ,sram 9.0 , deore xt
Bottom Line:I didnt expect it to be so good and it's very cheap. I thought of buying a deore xt but its twice as much and after trying it, it wasnt worth it. But ill probably buy disc brakes next year.
