$20.00 | | Purchased At: | Performance Bikes | | Strengths: | Its shiny? | | Weaknesses: | Works until you get it muddy. | | Similar Products Used: | None | | Bike Setup: | Litespeed, XTR, Precision Billet V's | | Bottom Line: | Thought I would try to use this thing as a friction reducer since my levers had no return spring. It was a pain to set up and as soon as it got muddy it jammed up. Well I suppose if you look close at it that makes sense. The part or "L" that the pully is mounted to is so close to it that a little grit will lock it up. It actually makes grinding noises! Took it off and threw it away. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$18.00 | | Strengths: | simplicity & bullet proof | | Weaknesses: | no barrel adjusters, pain in the ass to set up well, bearings tighten up after a couple of months in bad new england commuting | | Similar Products Used: | none | | Bike Setup: | mtnbike set up w/ a 105 drivetrain and drops w/ STI levers | | Bottom Line: | Good product that allows road shifters with V-Brakes. These feel a little mushy, and I use boosters fron and back. Plus, there are no barrel adjusters on either the levers or the travel agent, so fine tuning is done at the brake. The wire gets frayed after a couple of pad changes. Minor annoyances for a product that well. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$18.00 | | Purchased At: | mail order | | Strengths: | Works great! I had one-piece brake/shift levers and didn't want to replace them; the Travel Agents made my brakes work as good as high-class v-brakes. | | Weaknesses: | None that I noticed | | Similar Products Used: | None | | Bike Setup: | Stock Trek 7000, several years old | | Bottom Line: | I bought a newer, more expensive bike with real v-brakes, and they suck. The old bike with the Travel Agents gave much better braking performance. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$15.00 | | Purchased At: | Universal Cycles | | Strengths: | Easy to Install, Works with cantilever brake levers on V-brake arms | | Weaknesses: | Adds a little weight | | Similar Products Used: | Noodle | | Bike Setup: | Bontrager OR Racelite, Z4 Bomber, XTR Drivetrain, Lx Cranks, King Headset, Bontrager Racelite Rims,.. | | Bottom Line: | This product works when using your old cantilever levers with V-Breaks by effectively shortening the pull on you levers to approximately half. Also can be used as a friction reducer for you existing V-brake set-up by eliminating the friction through the noodle with a pulley and bearing. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Might be an easy fix, but don't know what to do. | | Bike Setup: | This was on a schwinn Frontier (98) with '97 RST Delta TL and Shimano acera v-brakes | | Bottom Line: | This was the best way to get aroud the lever problem because my shifters and brake levers are married. | Overall Rating: |

This little product lets you use non-V levers with V-brakes and works wonderfully well. If you have integrated shifters/levers and don't want to spend $100+ for a new system, just get two of these babies. They really do work well. I've got an LX on the rear and Avid 2.0 on the front with my old '95 STX levers pulling them. They work amazingly well, considering the low price. | Overall Rating: |
