Submitted by Larry a Cross Country Rider from Palo Alto, CA USA
Date Reviewed: August 24, 2002
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $80.00
Purchased At:Reed's Cyclery, San Jose, CA
Strengths:Light (100g per axle), powerful, easy to adjust and setup. High tech look that doesn't look like all the rest.
Weaknesses:There were no instructions, though you can eventually figure it out from looking at a photo on their website. Company is not good at returning emails or phone calls.
Similar Products Used:Magura HS-33, Avid Arch Supremes, XTRs
Bike Setup:21 pound Ellsworth Truth, AD-12, Tune hubs, Storck Power Arms, '99 SID w/Total Air, GripShifts, Precision Billet derailleurs, Speedplay, CT-2 bars
Bottom Line:Worth the money, especially given the light weight.

Favorite Trail:any where dry
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Purchased At:internet site(manufacturer)
Strengths:very light,very rigid,easy set up,great stopping power,simple design
Weaknesses:like any rim brake wet conditions affect performance
Similar Products Used:MRC batwings
Bike Setup:trek 9.8
Bottom Line:If you like to save weight and improve performance these are probably the best v brakes out there. They make most other designs look over complicated and heavy.Apparently they used to make a magnesium version, even lighter!but not any more.
