$15.00 | | Purchased At: | Supergo | | Strengths: | Price, Availability at Supergo | | Weaknesses: | Poor quality, doesn't last, doesn't provide enough jacket for bike. No instructions provided to explain some of the unusual aspects of the cables (ferrules). No website for customer support, even though one is listed on package. | | Similar Products Used: | SRAM cables, Shimano Stuff | | Bike Setup: | 04 SC Blur | | Bottom Line: | First frustration was that they didn't provide enough jacket to do both front and rear cables, so I had to use some of my old set up by the shifter. The ferrules at the end of the jackets designed to keep out dirt seem like a good idea, but they get in the way of installation in the frame slots.
The rear shifter cable only lasted 2 rides before it developed too much friction and stopped working properly, causing ghost shift. Seems like the inner lining had worn thru causing the cable to drag at the deraileur bend. Also, the linings and jacket wire were working their way out from the outer casing.
