Weaknesses: Squealed horribly even after repeated cleaning and break in procedure.
Had break squeal issues and after realignment and cleaning the pads I decided to replace them with these. Cleaned the disc and installed the new pads, realigned the caliper. After a few stops the squeal was back. The power was also very weak. Cleaned and aligned them again and no change. Went through this process a couple times more. These pads are worthless. Pony up and buy the OEM pads.
I'm looking for replacement pads for my disc brakes, and the reviews section of mtbr is kind of light on the aftermarket brands. I have Shimano XT disc brake system (the new one) and will have to replace my pads soon.
Any preference? Shimano, Jagwire or Kool-stop
Shimano has Resin and metal pad available, what's difference?
Jagwire has Long lasting semi-metallic
and Kool-stop has Friendly compound :confused:
