Review for the mono M4
Long lasting and great power and cheap to boot.
Installs easily and you can use shimano 4 pot pads also if you get stuck.
The sintered metal ones take a while to bed in but last longer than the standard ones.
They squeel a little more than the standard compound but provide heaps of stopping power.
They squeel even though my forks and frame are faced. Not all the time but it dosen't really matter that much, I'm just being picky.
But no-one ever complained about not being able to stop from any other pad review, just the longevity and noise.
for longevity get the sintered pads, but allow a few more hard stops to bed these babys in.
The standard pads bed faster but last less longer but when you can get them online who cares.

Can't think of any unless it's endless modulation.
Rotten braking power.
Expensive.
There is plenty of modulation with these brake pads but not enough bite. I struggled for ages and then changed the pads for Shimano XT. Vast improvement. Cannot recommend the Hope pads at all.

I got them on-line so they were about average price I guess.
Real bad grip. Plenty of lever feel but NO BITE.
Wow......is this one bad set of Brake pads or what!!??
I guess Hope have just got a bad batch, least ways I hope so but there is no way that these repalcement pads cut it.
I got come Fibrax Composite pads but I heard you can use others too and they have done the job like it should be done. Kind of makes you wonder how it is that other pad makers do a better job than the original.

??
These are not good pads in my opinion.
I think they are sintered and they create heat build up and fade.
It just goes to show that different riders have different views. I don't think much of these Hope pads at all. I don't think they grip enough and the modulation is so excessive that there isn't enough braking power, especially for a Freeride brake. I was unhappy for a while but waited for the perculiar "bedding-in" period to elapse. But I was still unhappy, and a buddy advised me to change the pads for Shimano XT as they would fit. He had already done so with his identical brakes....I tried his and Wow!
So this all became more evident when I replaced my new Hope replacement pads with Shimano XT Pads. I am amazed at the difference.
