Favorite Trail:
Twisters revenge
Duration Product Used:
less than 1 month
Strengths:
Great lever, very light and feels very strong. I was more worried about breaking the cantis than breaking these, which is rare. They feel really smooth, and have a great action.
Weaknesses:
They are very expensive if you pay retail price, but most places have them on closeout, especially the canti version, which is what I have. Also, the brake cable adjuster has a very small knurled portion, which is hard to adjust with gloves on.
Similar Products Used:
Shimano Alivio, Acera X, STX, LX, XT, XTR, Real, Avid 1.9, Avid 2.0, Sram 9.0, Diacompe PC7.
Bike Setup:
Rigid singlespeed, with a specialized cro-mo frame and forks, combined with Clarks cables, Onza HO, and Ritchey red pads. The whole setup was brought recently and installed at the same time.
Bottom Line:These are great levers, and the cheaper you get them for, the better they are. As a cantilever user, these are among the best levers I have tried in terms of their combination of light weight and strength. At the price that I paid (I got a pair of purple for $10 new, and a pair of black for $20), you cant go wrong, and they have no equals.
Overall Rating:5
