Avid Elixir 9 Lever hard stops, rear wheel won't lock up. Opposite of squishy.

Anyone change from Elixir Trail 9 to XT or XTR brakes? Worth it? What difference?

Currently have Elixir Trail 9s and I'm considering going to XTR Trails. Wondering if its worth it and what the differences are. Setting up Elixir 9's

I just bought my bike and it has elixirs 9's on it. The front brake was none existent from day one. I just bleed it and adjusted the lever position.
