The Flux is perhaps Turner's most versatile machine. It offers you a full 4” of travel with no compromise whatsoever to pedaling efficiency. The Flux essentially merges Turner's critically acclaimed 5 Spot frame with their cross country rocket, the Nitrous. A lightweight 5.6 pounds, the Flux is the ideal bike for endurance or marathon racers or those who still enjoy cross-country racing, but enjoy getting out for some “fun time” when not training.

Strengths: Intuitive experience, the machine responds without being twichy!
Weaknesses: None
Bottom Line:
I bought a Nitrous in 2005. Decked it out with all xtr, crossmax slr’s, tomson, and all the best of the best. Rode the darn thing 60 miles or more a week, or 20,000 miles. In April of 2011 cracked the frame at the seat stay. I called Turner direct, and although they no longer make the Nitrous for a nominal charge hooked me up with their Flux. (Thank-you Greg!)
The Flux tracks sweet, it is so stable, comparable to a BMW, Mercedes, or an Audi. Smooth and stable, it simply responds to the pilots every command. The feel of the ride is uniquely Turner in that you feel the build quality, it becomes hard to quantify, as with all Turner machines you simply feel intuitive. David Turner is an American manufacture of high quality bicycles. This aluminum machine is top notch and sweetly compliant when at the controls. A final note, Turners are built to last a long time, and if and when there is a problem, they back-up their word with deed. If you seek an America manufacture of high quality machines, Turner makes the short list!
First I tried a Small HL , very quick down hill but uphill mmmm, Then I change to a Medium .... What a difference, even this is a TNT I didn´t feel any handling difference climbs better than any other (even the Blur that was great)It feels ligther than it really is, and goes down hill pretty well, plusher than my Epic.... I´ll never chage it

Strengths: Build quality, stiffness, ride quality, quick handling, adaptability to technical trails and racing.
Weaknesses: none
Bottom Line:
The Flux replaced a Burner (HL) that was well used and a size too small. The TNT Flux is better in almost every way than the Burner, however I think the Burner could handle more punishment. This bike climbs and decends well and is fast through the twisty tight single track. I just enjoy how this bike makes a good ride, great!

Bottom Line:
Light, fast and nimble, but still versatile and strong enough to handle technical trail riding and a Clydesdale pilot. Incredible climber and rails trails. Great for endurance events and balanced enough for aggressive XC or light AM. Not for hucking.
Ride is perfect at 100m front fork, though would be fun to have an adjustable front end between 100m-115m.
No brainer deals still available on 08 Flux as all Turners change over to the DWL for 09.

Strengths: Everything! For XC this is THE frame to have. Very stiff, excellent handling (cornering, climbing, down hill). Brilliant combination with the Fox RP3 rear shock!
Weaknesses: None!
Bottom Line:
I've ridden quite some full suspensions but this one takes the cake! It doesn't ride, it flies over your XC courses and single tracks. Doesn't matter if it's flat, bumpy and technical, up hill or down hill (even hard down hill with big rocks), it just goes over it as if you are crossing a flush meadow with your hard tail. This 2007 frame is even a bit stiffer than the 2008 and 2009 models. The pro-pedal system on the Fox RP3 rear shock works brilliantly in combination with this frame.

Strengths: Sweet handling, fast climbing, quality construction
Weaknesses: none, the best bike i've ridden without doubt.
Bottom Line:
This bike has evolved over the last two or so years, i've slowly shortened the cockpit with shorter stems and no layback seatposts, i've played with suspension travel from 100 to 130, all on fox units and now run a soft 120, in its current mode i really can't fault its handling, i've tried other bikes but always prefer the flux.
No quality issues at all, i've replaced the bushes once, the only one worn was the main pivot, considering i'm lax with bike care i'm pleased that the bush lasted as long as it did.
I'd be very interested to try the flux in its latest incarnation, though i bet the old 4 bar will be hard to beat.
Bike would suit a wide range of riders after a fast and agile cross country bike.
Bike Setup: Large 4 bar frame, Fox Floats at 120mm, seems a good compromise if run soft, RP3 pushed by TF tuned, XTgears, Avid BB7 brakes, i got sick of hydros not working reliably, Easton EC70 seatpost and monkeylight low risers on a EA70 90mm stem, Crossmax STs with Bontrager ACXs run tubeless with superjuice.

Weaknesses: weight-probably too heavy for xc racing as I have it built,
one water bottle mount
design is looking old compared to Pivot/Ibis/BMC/SC stuff
Bottom Line:
The frame is the last thing to break on this bike. I am sure I'll be fixing the fork/rear shock before frame pivots. The only annoying squeak come from my friends Santa Cruz frames.
I am very happy with the way this bike rides-especially coupled with the Fox RP3 It sprints like a hard tail when locked out and sucks of any thing I crash it into in the open-plush mode. I think the difference in suspension design-at least for short travel bikes is 90% hype. Get a Turner and rail worry free.

Strengths: light weight, very responsive, good handling and easy to manuever- I think this is a dream machine for me - no lateral schock
Weaknesses: can't think - may be my frame color - candy blue ? with my candy red fork - whoa !
Bottom Line:
I rode a hardtail specialize for many years before and now I buy this flux after reading in internet about flux. I ride this bike in our track in Jalur Pipa Gas near Jakarta and no problem to handle this bike in that track. This bike very responsive for climbing and descending. if you want to ride a reponsive bike with a good handling I suggest to use this one.

Strengths: Light, Low Maintenance, Unique, No Squeaks or Rattles, Light Weight
Weaknesses: I hate to break from norm but I have two other Turner Bikes with the Horst Links and they are more small bump compliant, seem to be less prone to bobing, and more active during braking.
Bottom Line:
Well here is a follow-up. After one year I am still extreemly pleased with my Flux. I am a very agressive trail rider and it has taken everything I have thrown at it in stride. This bike has exceptional climbing ability and great geometry. Although my personal opinion is the TNT rear triangle is not as good as the Horst versions. Despite the reduced capabilities I believe tht this (and turner products in general) is an outstanding product with second to none customer service.

Strengths: Stiff, precise, surefooted, light, great looking.
Weaknesses: None yet
Bottom Line:
I love this bike. It rules. So stiff at speeds and the suspension feels like more than 4 in. in the bumps. Very predictable manners in all technical situations. I clear things I could not before this bike. The geometry is a great combination or XC and all mountain--I think Turner nailed it with this design. It handles 40 mph fireroad bombing and switchback singletracks full of babyhead rocks equally as well.
I ride hard 36-50 miles a week and have had no problems with the fittings at the pivots. I have not yet bought the grease gun for the zirk fittings yet, but I am sure I will. Suspension has stayed supple and repsonsive even with a muddy spring and super dusty summer.
I lean this bike into high speed corners without fear and jump with confidence because of the predictable nature of the handling. I am not a dirt jumber. I wanted a bike that could handle aggressive, sometimes sketchy riding without weighing a ton and which climbs well. I had a 6 inch bike that I never used all of its suspension and realized that I needed something else.
Also, I got a killer deal from Competetive cyclist. Those guys are awesome. I called them at noon their time on a Wednesday. They took my order, built a custom set of wheels for me to my spec, built the bike and had it shipped via 2 day air that day. I had my bike on Friday morning! Also, they did not whine about swapping parts or take offs on a group, and did a good enough job of matching one of the loss-leader mega phone order stores( won't tell you who, but it might rhyme with Rollokado spikelist), that I happily paid a bit more to do the business with them. I am really glad I did. I would buy everything I can from them in the future. I suggest you do to.
Bike Setup: XT Crank and DRs, XTR cassette,Salsa QRs, King Hubs and 717 disc rims, Thomson SP and Stem, WTB ti team saddle, Raceface carbon riser bar, loc on grips, Avid BB7 cable disc brakes, lunar light tubes and small block 8 tires, Fox f100 fork. My goal was a bike that would be easy to maintain and last a long time. The bike is light but not dangerously light. It is an XL and weighs 26.5-27 lbs. I could have gone lighter, but then I would worry more.

Strengths: Everything! As built this bike is around 24 pounds. Climbs like a rocket. Extremely efficient frame that accelerates rapidly, sticks to rough climbs and descents, and eats up singletrack. Amazing handling.
Weaknesses: Blue finish is wearing through from cables after 6 months. Who really cares though?!?! It's a mtb for goodness sake!
Bottom Line:
2006 model with TNT and RP3 reviewed. I have really enjoyed this bike. It's costly, but worth every penny. I am a fairly serious rider with a few endurance races behind me and this bike just performs. It's a joy for an easy cruise, and can effortlessly transition to racing. I am definitely the weakest point on this bike, but it inspires confidence. I have been able to ride things I would never have thought possible. Worth spending more to get this frame for the long haul. You won't regret it! I know I will never ride anything else. Highly recommended for riders who are looking to push the limits, and have a lot of fun doing it! You'll feel like a little kid who just got his first bike for Christmas.
If you're used to a bike with significantly different geometry, reserve your judgement until you have at least 5 rides under your belt. Coming from the Enduro was a bit of a shock to my system, but I could never go back!
If you're in the Temecula area, Dennis at Redhawk Bicycles has great prices and customer service. He has earned my loyalty for all future business.

Strengths: Great geometry, comfortable cockpit, great handling, plush, light, quick, bushings instead of bearings, low-maintenance.
Weaknesses: NONE
Bottom Line:
CONSTRUCTION: Turner craftsmanship is outstanding. The bike just feels right. I went through months of adjustments with my Blur and never got quite comfortable. The Flux fit like a glove from the get-go. The rear triangle allows for wide tire clearance and doesn't go anywhere - just hooks up with the ground.
MAINTENANCE: With my Blur I was constantly chasing down creaks, doing silly maintenance and replacing the pivots every year. The Flux uses bushings which you grease every once in a while through little "zerk" ports. The bushings last years and have tighter tolerances than most bearing systems. You ride your bike instead of working on it.
RIDE QUALITY: Nimble, fast & confidence-inspiring. Climb like a rabid ram then bomb down the other side. You are the limit, not the bike.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: I hear it's is superb but haven't needed it yet. Word is that Dave Turner takes care of his peeps.
PARTING SHOT: The Flux is a fantastic do-it-all bike. It's light enough to handle enduro/XC racing and tough enough for all-day mountain rides.
