Strengths: Good rear shock work. Bobs a little but does the job.
Good price for a Specialized.
Good control on high speed cornering in the woods (singles).
For the price they climb well.
Hydraulic brakes.Weaknesses: Front shock is the worse I've been on! (although I'm spoiled by good stuff but still, it's heavy & works awful).
Pedals are touching the ground a lot.
They don't "roll" you have to pedal all the time and you look at people around you enjoying a nice little downhill.Bottom Line: Overall because choices are limited in the price range, they are pretty good.
I will definitely replace the fork and steering wheel components, and wheelset.
and they are as good as any much higher priced bikes out there.
I know even if I get another bike I won't sell those.

Strengths: Good geometry, ride, handling.Weaknesses: Weight, poor forkBottom Line: Paid ~GBP 899. My girlfriend got this bike the same time as I bought a Prophet 2 and she loves it. Its seen red and black action at Glentress, Kirroughtree, CYB, Dalby, Cannock, Grizedale, Whinlatter and too many Yorkshire moor rock/mud fests to count and kept up with riders on bikes worth two or three times as much. Good frame and geometry (similar to previous Stumpys) and tunable shock means its a blast to ride up hill and down dale and the spec isnt too bad, but the fork is already knackered so upgrading to a Fox F100 asap. Would benefit from lighter wheels, bars, stem and seatpost to turn it into a real trail whippet.
