Looks good, good componentry and performance for the money. Lock out suspension (to 90%)
Average brakes, tyres. Rear suspension is rather stiff compared to other bikes
Great value for money and great performance, if you are serious about your bikes be prepared to upgrade a few of the mid range parts that let it down

Light, well set up, XT components, great paint job
Only some of the components are XT. Brakes, cranks and drive train are more like LX or Deore. Front forks aren't the greatest.
Very good bike but at 103kg (225lbs) I am a little hard on the components. Busted the seat, the freewheel and the lockout on the forks. That aside a very good bike.

It's a lightweight bike that goes uphill like a spider on the wall. The frame is stiff and its geometry is excellent, gives good handling, the R7 fork performs great and no bobbing from the rear shock. Brakes much better than i thought. XT derailers are very reliable and accurate. The stock tires are also great.
The brake pads started to wobble (now fixed). After 2000 kms the fork's lockout beginned to work improperly. The rims (Alex TD17) deformate easily.
An outstanding bike in its price range. Could recommend to everyone. It climbs the hills quickly but it rocks when u rollin down. It's perfect for XC use, but suitable for longer trips on solid surfaced roads. I love this bike!

Fantastic Bike - nice and light (13kgs or a bit less), flys up the hills. Manitou Sevens are light, plush and soak up the bumps with ease!
none!
A super fast cross country bike that eats up the trails with ease. Xt gear all round and very pretty as well. Could poss do with a riser bar - depends on your preference.
The rear shock has lock-out but you don't need it. The rear suspension should be hassle-free as well i reckon.

Light, great specs for the price. Very nice ride, not too much travel.
The rear shock lockout is a waste of time. Don't need it anyway. Would be nice with a riser bar.
Having tried out MUCH more expensive bikes, this one is better for two thirds of the price. The specs are good, and the suspension isn't squishy, it just does the job without any fuss. The frame is stiff for a dual, but get back on your hardtail and you're in for a shock, this bike makes riding a lot more comfortable. This bike shipped at 13.5kgs, and I've shed a bit since then. No bob, the lockout is pointless. When you pedal uphill, it flies. The suspension is fantastic, its what ever you need it to be. Just don't expect a squishy trail bike.
