Strengths:    Price was amazing (bought as FRAME ONLY). The complete bike feels very light and agile. It's VERY fun to ride.

Weaknesses:    I'd like to upgrade to a FOX RP23 rear shock. I havn't had problems with the current BAR shock but it's a little harsh

Bottom Line:
The bike weighs about 31lbs; I plan on upgrading to Stans Archs wheels which will bring the weight to 30lbs.

The bike feels very light and flickable. Without much effort, you could make this a 28lbs bike.

Climbing is good, very little pedal bob. The 140mm Fox Fork feels right at home on this frame; I think they come with a 120mm stock.

Stays in corners pretty decent and tracks well. So far I've had the best luck using a 90mm stem; anything shorter and the steering feels a little over-sensative.

Decents are great on this bike. The frame seems to be built very strong and the design works well (no chain suck).

All pivot points are ball=bearing type and can be replaced at a relativly low cost. After riding this bike hard for a year, I havn't had any issues with them loosing up at all. The build was very simple and straightforward. There were no suprises and all components bolted on without a hitch.

I am very satisfied with this frame. I gave it 4 peppers because I have ridden bikes with slightly better stability up front.

XCT 535 Shock/Fork Recommendations

Wanting to upgrade the Fork and Shock on my son's '09 XCT 535. Currently running the stock Tora 302 Solo Air, and X-Fusion 02 RC Air. He is 5' 10" and weighs between 120-125, so current pressures are really low and resulting in semi-poor performance IMO. Looking for some recommendations for bot ... Read More »
