Strengths: Durable, not a bad suspension set up at all, and good components.Weaknesses: Its a light bike but still a tad heavy, but for the price you can't complain.Bottom Line: I purchased this bike exactly one year ago in Jan of 09, and I have hammered this bike to no end. I used to race motocross back in the day so I've jumped, downhilled, and drilled this machine. I'm thrilled with the value, and even if I move up to a nicer bike eventually, I would still keep this one in the garage for friends and a backup.

Strengths: Very easy to ride. Forgiving and light. Great bang for the buck. Rear suspension design is untouchable. Good travel on the suspention (I'm 100kg/220lbs) She really stops under duressWeaknesses: I need a longer headset stem to increase the distance from the saddle to the handlebars. Being tall I have found this with most bikes anyway.Bottom Line: I would reccomend this to anyone. Love my K2 3.0

Strengths: Held up so.Weaknesses: Front Brakes. Front Brakes. Front Brakes. Squeals like a banshee out of hell. Scared a $hit out few people on the trails first few time. Derailleur had to be adjusted after the 5th ride.Bottom Line: Went to Lake Fairfax in Northern Virginia with local group of riders. Seemed to take the bumps fairly well. Oh Performance Bike agreed to replace the front brake pads for free. After testing they concluded it was contaminated pads (most likely the hydralic oil from the front brake).

Strengths: Good hardware. Durable finish. Hydraulic disk brakes. Rear suspension lockout.Weaknesses: Shimano front disk brake caliper was leaking as noted by their service bulletin. This was fixed by performance bike center. Brakes would squeal very loud when applied.Bottom Line: This is my first mountain bike and after a lot of internet research I found this to be the best deal for my dollar. Performance Bike center had these 50% off as they told me that K2 was recently bought out, which I know was true since one of my friends used to work there and was let go. Since the buyout K2 lines are not being sold in retails stores now (that's what they said at least). It has been YEARS since I have ridden a bike and this thing has instilled a lot of confidence in my. I'm not sure if this is a good thing coming on too soon! :) Overall I am very pleased with this machine.
