Strengths:    This is a solid XC bike that has evolved to its highest form. Light, Strong and good for XC riding with no drops. The 2005 versions add disc brakes, and carbon fiber seat stays making for a responsive and light ride.

Weaknesses:    The design is 10 years old, but why fix something that isn't broken ... If you want a light bike that you can race and climb with this continues to be a contender

Bottom Line:
This is a solid performer if you want a light XC bike suitable for singletracks and climbing. Bikes are going in the direction of having greater travel (5 inches or more) and excessively complicated and expensive suspension designs. This bike has a great ride and gets you there in a comfortable way. The design is time tested and the carbon fiber seat stays make this a very light and strong full suspension entry. If you enjoy XC there is no reason to look any further.

I have been offered a 2004 K2 razorback comp by a friend of mine. I would like to know what people in this forum think of this bike. I hear the frame design has been around forever. Also, what is a fair price for it? The bike my friend wants me to buy is almost new.Read More »
