Bottom Line:
Throw away your Specialized. This bike will blow the average XC bike out of the water. Not only is this bike light weight but it is very reliable. Rode though the BC Bike Race with no issues. It climbs like a beast and can rip any downhill with ease. Highly recommend to any XC rider or endurance racer who likes to ride all day everyday of the week.

Bike Setup:
Intense Spyder FRO Sz. Med., Navy Blue, RP23 shock
Stans ZTR Race wheelset, SID World Cup Fork, Race Face Deus XC Crank, 34T Salsa front ring, Rohloff Chain guide, XTR 11-34 Cassette, 10sp Chain, Ti h2o cage, 4Ti Egg Beaters, Ritchey 120mm WCS Stem, FSA Orbit headset, Easton Carbon bar
Bottom Line:
Comparing the Santa Cruz Blur XC and the Intense Spyder FRO, the nod goes to the Spyder FRO for suspension design and durability. In my experience with the Blur I had the pivot fail in less than six months and the warranty process was a hassle. I have not had any issues with workmanship, frame design, geometry, etc. of the Intense Spyder FRO.
