Strengths:    PRICE, for the price this thing is a beast. Very good suspension and drive train.

Weaknesses:    Handle bars are a bit longer than I would prefer, but other than that a great bike.

Bottom Line:
For the price this bike cannot be beat. It climbs like a goat with very little bob. The suspension works great, soaks up the bumps without bucking. If anyone is looking for a mountain bike in this price range I would highly suggest this bike. I wish I could give it 6 chili's for value because it really CANNOT be beat. I'd have to say this was the best purchase I have made in a long time.

Strengths:    -price was amazing i only paid 1000 for a bike worth 1500
-customer service is most excellent
-component selection is flawless
-frame build is very strong maybe bullet proof
-basically everything except for what i say below

Weaknesses:    I do not like the pedals it came with, one side is platform (what i use) and the other is clip(would just get me hurt) my problem is the clip side just gets in the way and the platform side is only like 1 and a half inches by 3 inches. also the handlebars are tooooo wide (27.5') so im just gonna hack a bit off each side.

Bottom Line:
customer service was very patient with me and quickly answered all my questions, they gave me a 100 dollar upgrade for no extra money. i got the bike in just 5 Days! and last but not least the bike itself is absolutely beautiful, the suspension and component selection is equal if not better than that of a 1500 dollar trek. I definetly recommend this bike, it was the best 1000 dollars i have ever spent. Keep up the good work IBEX!

Strengths:    This bike is one of the best values out there for a full suspension. For under a grand, one can get a very durable full suspension frame with 5 inches of travel, the best mechanical disc brakes on the market (Avid BB7), SRAM X7 full drive train, and quality shocks by Rock Shox and Manitou.

This neon green beast loves slop, rocks, roots, and fast downhills.

Weaknesses:    It is not the lightest bike out there but it isnt too heavy either. Im not obsessed with weight. Want to lose a few grams?? Dont worry about the bike, simply watch what you eat...its cheaper and healthier.

No need to worry about assembly, all one has to do is install the seat post, front wheel, pedals, and handlebar...VERY easy stuff done in under 30 minutes. Hardest thing is opening the box and removing all of the protective packaging.

It is made in Taiwan and not the good ole USA, but then most quality, high-end bikes are made overseas these days. :(

Bottom Line:
Quality, Value, Great customer service.

Strengths:    Try to find a better bike for the money!!!!!! You can't this thing is incredible!! Love the sand black color, great component selection on this bike. Everything about it!

Weaknesses:    None, though I wish it were a little lighter. But you know what they say about wishes.......

Bottom Line:
Great bike, great price , great customer service, fast shipping, easy assembly. What more could you ask for? I only had a grand to spend and I shopped for almost a year. You can't even come close to this bike for the money. It is comparable to $1500.00-$2000.00 bike at the l.b.s. I was even looking at last year's (2007 & even 2006 when I started looking) models, demo bikes, even used bikes too. There is NOTHING out there worth even looking at in the $1000.00 price range. Don't waste your time like I did, just go to the IBEX website and order one!

Strengths:    A lot of bike for the money. Great components and the frame geometry is super versatile; maneuverable yet stable. I can't make this thing bob and it climbs exceedingly well. I'm a hefty guy and this thing remains stiff and stable. I particularly like the FS design on this bike - very efficient - and really like the rear shock (Manitou Radium RL).

Weaknesses:    I can't say there are any major weaknesses. The only thing that strikes me is that the fork and rear shock seem to be slightly mismatched. I really like the shock and may consider a moving to a plusher fork. Perhaps some more tweaking will help. I also noticed that the paint seems to rub off pretty easily, but its a mountain bike, ain't it supposed to look a little worn?!?

Bottom Line:
This is a tremendous bike at any price and at $999 I feel I got the very best deal available given the high end components and outstanding frame. I wanted a bike I wouldn't have to immediately upgrade. I also wanted one that I could be confident would be rugged enough to handle my weight (265 lbs). I almost bought a hard tail because I figured I would need all the climbing help I could get, but I'm glad I went with the FS. I honestly can't detect any loss of power to the rear wheel when climbing. When descending, the bike's handling assisted by a viable fork and surprisingly nice rear shock is confidence inspiring. The bike feels very light given its a FS bike; if I want to shed pounds I'll lose weight! Lastly, I had a couple very minor annoyances as there were some assembly issues with tires and rotors being backwards, but Ibex was very responsive and sent me some goodies without my asking. The guys at Ibex are truly a class act and I'd recommend their bikes to anyone. Worried about buying a bike off the internet? Don't be. You cannot go wrong. I considered Woodstock and Fezzari as well as a blowout sale on a K2 but the Ibex Super beat them all in the value department and turned out to be way more bike than I thought it would be.

Bike Setup:   The only change I made was to Wellgo Magnesium platform pedals because I was certain I would severely damage myself with clip-less, which came stock on the bike (the Wellgo's are great, but they'll bight you if you let them). The rest of the bike is stock; check the website for all the details.
