Strengths: Price, climbs like a goat, no walkover, almost no bob, decent weight ( 33lb. on my scale), buttery smooth downhill, seems to enjoy abuse. I weigh 185 and broke it in on a black diamond trail, nothing gave but a couple of teeth on the big ring. My bad, not the sprockets.Weaknesses: Nobody trued or tentioned the wheels at the factory or the sales outlet. Bad on Performance, but the manager gave me such a good deal I forgive them. If you dont build your own wheels have them checked.Bottom Line: great bang for the buck. I love the 29er format but my hardtail was beating me on fast downhills. This bike does everything and I'm selling my other three mountain bikes.
Favorite Trail: rampart resevoir #5
Duration Product Used: 3 months
Price Paid:
$1200.00
Purchased At: performance
Similar Products Used: Diamondback Overdrive 29er (hardtail) Upgraded everything.
Bike Setup: stock deore. I am going to ditch the generic fuji hubs and lace some deore 525s into the speeddisc rims, although I have had no problems with the factory hubs.
