Strengths:    bought fall of 2010 for 2400.4400 new all xtr and raceface crank and headset. comes in at 26lbs. sid team with remote lockout forks and a fox rp2. everything works great together.

Weaknesses:    you get what you pat for. any other upgraded parts would simply add to the price. 1 1/8 headtube is the only short coming. not sure if a longer shock can fit

Bottom Line:
have been riding the moonracer for 2 years and have had zero issues. occasionally get chain suck over rock gardens that takes the paint off the aluminum frame. it s a fairly simple very little flash looking bike. buying at the end of the year and getting the groupset and weight at 26 was a good deal. have had zero problems with the bike and the tubeless crosstrail wheelset. still room to grow with a few costly upgrades you could get this xc below 24 lbs if thats your thing. frame has no creeks and holds up well over log piles. canadian made goodness

Strengths:    2010 Devinci Moonracer SL3 - Light, stiff (in the way you want a XC bike to be stiff) - FAST and responsive

Weaknesses:    Keeps me from getting my work done (would rather be on the bike!!).

Bottom Line:
This bike is firm. Sold as a XC racer, this bike does not disappoint. I'm loving it so far, and can't believe the power transfer from the pedals to the rear wheel. Step on the pedals and this thing takes off. It's so light that it amazes me every time the trail heads vertical, or there is a rock/root to climb over.

I've been riding full suspension bikes now since 2002, and can say that I'm amazed at the performance of this bike. If you are thinking of the Devinci Moonracer SL3, don't think twice. As a cross country speed demon, this is an amazing piece of North American bike engineering (they are hand made in Canada!).
