Strengths:    Good frame. Gives a solid base to work with.

Weaknesses:    Components. All components are either off brand or low end Shimano.

Bottom Line:
This is solid frame for the price. If you are just going from point A to point B, it will get you there fine. I started riding it off road, some single track and had to get the hornet hydraulic disk brakes bled after each time, which really gets annoying, not to mention expensive.

The first thing I replaced was the brakes. I moved back to the trusty Avid BB7 mechanical. Great choice. Second was the fork, then the pedals, put in the Shimano spd 520s. What I've done so far has been great and I will continue to do so. But it all starts with the solid frame. Solid.

If you're a weight weanie, the frame is a little heavy, but solid. I' sticking with it for a hardtail.

Strengths:    I am a very new moutain biker, we do some single tracks and allot of paved rails and trails around columbus. This bike handles awesome in the woods and on the trails. I pull my daughter in a trailer and I never know shes back there. It shifts so smooth, I can beat allot of the guys going up hill!

Weaknesses:    My spokes shifted a little, but the shop took care of it asap. I cant think of anything I dont like about the bike other than the saddle. But I guess when you are sitting on a bike for 25 miles, your butt is going to hurt!

Bottom Line:
I LOVE THIS BIKE! I almost stroked when I saw the price tag, but I have no regrets. This bike is smooth to ride, handles great in rough terrain, and shifts great. This is my first moutain bike, so I dont go riding across trees or doing crazy jumps, but it will take me across the little bridges, and do little jumps. I dont know how it would hold up for the serious, disc brake using moutain biker chic, but if your looking for an entry level bike to maybe upgrade later, this is a great frame and great starter components.
