Strengths: Geometry, component group for the money. Color or should I say lack of it.Weaknesses: A little heavy on the frontBottom Line: I bought this bike for my son and he never really liked hitting the single track with me because he had an older 12" Barracuda A2ZS. After his first ride with the Scott, he said it was extremelt comfortable and shifts were quick and precise. I ride a 19996 Barracuda Team XX and absolutely love it. It has a longer top tube which stretches me out more. I rode the Scott and was fairly impressed with the way it handled. It performed very well on moderate downhills and the frame did have some forgiveness. The shock is OK. for the price I paid it definitely gets 5 chili's. A decent mid level hardtail.

Strengths: Light comes with decent components takes a good beating I way 240lbs and have fallen and road this bike fiarly hard and have had no problems what so everWeaknesses: Upgrade the derailers espeacily the front and wider tires would be niceBottom Line: Overall this is a good bike could stand to lose a few pounds on the front end. But for the money i am very happy. If you are just starting out or looking to upgrade from a low end bike this is a good one for you. If you ride comp. or all the time may look at the next step up.
