Strengths: Was good for one month before problems began.Nice geometry and easy to ride. Like the gear change and bike felt solid initially. I am a "gentle" off roader of intermediate standard.Weaknesses: Pedal bearing broke 1 month from new, then spokes in front wheel broke and front disc brake failed. Cant use bike now as it wont stop me on over 1:5 gradient. Worst- no one cared- retailer or Scott themselves. No response from my letter of complaint.Very disappointing aftersales, the Sheffield retailer gets Olympic gold for blaming the customer for everything and making him pay- all warranties were rejected under the wear and tear clause- after 1 months use!Bottom Line: What should be a good bike on paper, I now hate due to bad aftersales and the total indifference of the way I was treated when faults developed

Strengths: solid, light weight, good shimano xt sys nice design :)Weaknesses: no weakness for these price.Bottom Line: hey guys, what can i say...
this bike is AWESOME. it is very strong
unforunately i felt down on it twice (speed was about 35 km/h) and i could say, that bike is really strong. I have to change rear wheel, but now it's ok.
someone says that brakes are awefull. a'm disagree. DO NOT PUSH front brake if u see the dog..u can injure as me :)
i am recommend this bike to buy, i love it. i feel quality with tora and scott's frame

Strengths: Lightweight, impressively fast, really smooth and very surefooted on the twisty stuff.Frame is very strong and solid.Great all rounderWeaknesses: Brakes!!They stop me no problem the squeaking became highly annoying, the rotors seems to glaze the pads for some reason after really hard braking.Bottom Line: I highly recommend this bike for anyone interested in an involving riding experience, even if it's just the weekend thrash through the bush.Inspires loads of confidence and definitely awesome value for money

Strengths: good quality drive train. Outstanding handling and stabilty.Weaknesses: seatpost and seat. bent rails and destroyed seat post clamp resulting in close encounter with rear wheel!
the tyres are also shocking verging on the dangerous on wet tarmacBottom Line: Outstanding bike for the money (£650 new) Great handling and light for the money.

Strengths: The frame is light and very responsive. The read derailer works like a dream and the bike is good through twisty technical stuff.Weaknesses: The front derailer is a bit sticky and the brakes are average.Bottom Line: The bike is good enough for racing but you can also spend all day on the trail. It provides good bang for your buck. It is a good buy for a novice looking to upgrade.

Strengths: i don't have one but i do have a 55. and i love it, but i changed everything to slx, hone, and xt by shimano, so i do have a little better components then the 15 does, but anyways i love the frame and it can take almost anything i through at it.. i race XC but i ride freeride in my own time... i have a 10 foot and 5 foot drop off in my woods behind my house and it takes it all... the drops or the 14 jumps, or even the wallride i have. the only thing that i have a problam with was the hangers i do not know if its the same aluminum hangers but i went through two hangers and said screw it.. so my friends dad has a machine shop and i got him to make me a harden steel hanger and i haven't had a problem with it ever since.Weaknesses: none with the frameBottom Line: i love mine and the 15 must be even better

Strengths: Plush, comfortable and generally just a nice place to be while cycling. I've spend 5500Km there alreadyWeaknesses: The brakes in capital letters! Shimano BR-M485 Hydr. Disc set is not something i would recomend to any cyclist. It binds and even after the most carefull service and setup. 160mm rotor on the front is also not enough to stop a 85Kg rider quickly enoughBottom Line: Great bike, but let down seriously by the brakes. Only due to those brakes and because they are part of the package I purchased, I have to rate the bike much lower than it deserves.

Strengths: Wouldn't know haven't got to ride it because it has been in the shop due to brake recall and faulty fork.Weaknesses: The whole bike.Bottom Line: Bad experience right from the start. After being told the squealling brakes would go away I found out that they had been recalled. Got the bike home took it out the truck and the forks were leaking. I must say it was the biggest mistake I ever made buying this bike. I will never buy another Scott or deal with the shop I bought it from. Nothing like donating a $1000.00 and have a bike sit in the shop for weeks waiting for parts. Yes I am bitter over this purchase. Buy a bike hoping to ride it not have it in the shop.

Strengths: Incredibly light and agile frame. Drivetrain is of good quality with the Shimano Deore and XT components. Shocks have good adjustment to suit trails.Weaknesses: At 6'4, I felt like im leaning over the handlebars too much however after fiddling with the seat adjustment have got it to an exceptable level but have just snapped the seat bolts last week. Shocks are quite noisy but they work well so not really a problem. Brakes beginning to fade under heavy load after around 800kmBottom Line: For under AUS$1000 its certainly exceeded my expectations, its remarkably fast, expecially on quick, windy downhill trails. At around 6'4 and 95kg Im not exactly the smallest guy and the bike carries my body type without any effort. Im certainly not afraid to throw it around and do jumps/drops with it and havent had a problem so far bar the seat breaking. I ride 3-4 times a week doing 20-60km at a time and its really been a pleasure to ride both on and off road.

Strengths: Very light agile frame. Well thought out frame design looks good feels awesome but not too racy either. The frame has a balanced feel and helps you to feel comfortable at speed.Weaknesses: Chainset felt like it has a little bit of play after only a few days cycling, albeit after being rode through some muddy puddles but still less than a months use.Bottom Line: Great buy, of course there will be better bikes out there suited for racing or downhill but for general X country and trail on a budget you cant beat this bike.

Strengths: Racing geometry and so smooth!!Weaknesses: Heavier than the Scott Racing it replacedBottom Line: Good strong value that will not let you down when you're far from civilisation. The beginner will enjoy this bike as it flows if they bother to raise the backside out of the saddle. The entry level racer will find confidence in the smooth solidity of the bike.
