Strengths: Pretty nice geometry.
Every bit of kit on the bike's nice.
Reasonably light.Weaknesses: Pretty trivial, but I don't think I like the Rapid Rise, and I don't know that I trust dual control levers, but that's just me. However they seem to get okay reviews.Bottom Line: ***Nice Spec, Nice Geometry, Comfy Saddle Too.***
I bought this bike for my wife and got it at half price as it's the 2005 model. It's no Epic, but it is a nice bike (especially for what I paid for it). The geometry is, as I say, pretty sweet too as a bike that isn't designed to be female specific yet the geometry is almost the same as the 2007 15" D4W Women's Rockhopper.
I'm also pretty confident that the kit'll last too (despite my concerns about the fiddly dual control levers) as when I built up my Hardtail in 1999 I spec'd fill LX kit then and after an absolute hammering over 7 1/2 years most of the kits still working nicely enough.
Duration Product Used: Less than 1 month
Price Paid:
$1000.00
Purchased At: eBay
Similar Products Used: My old steel xc hardtail. S-Works Epic.
Bike Setup: Stock (except I robbed the spds for myself and I've lent my wife my V12 Mags untill she gets some V8s)
