Submitted by Barry a Cross Country Rider from North Vancouver

Date Reviewed: February 21, 2008

Strengths:    Very light and stiff under pedaling and cornering loads, terrific wet paint, great vibration damping, very comfortable to ride fast.

Weaknesses:    ummmmmmmmm. hmmmmmmmmm. Nope, not a one I can think of.

Bottom Line:
This is my favourite bike to ride, I bought the frame and built it up. The frame is less abusive on my body than my 2000 Vertex with the Easton Ultralite tubing and every bit of rider input gets translated to bike movement. The bike accelerates like it's rocket powered, I suppose the red/white paint is 7% faster or something, but the bike just feels fast. Weighs 22 pounds even. The Scandium frame really does feel like the best combo of the qualities of aluminium and steel.
