Strengths:    very elegant looks; beautifully handcrafted; lightweight & anodized frame; not too often to be seen around here; stiffness; great fun to speed through the woods. I love it!

Weaknesses:    Principia´s owners habe changed and there is no distributor in Germany any more. Support (in Germany) once was good but is nothing but a catastrophy nowadays! Try and sent an email to Principia in Denmark and you won´t even get an answer whatsoever!

Bottom Line:
The bike I dreamed of! I think this will last forever and it will always remain a beauty - due to the anodized frame! It´s a shame that their support is dump. When it comes to their support I would give them absolutely no chili at all!

Strengths:    Stiff, light, great overall balance. The geometry is (in the old model) made for 80 mm forks, (the new ones fits 80 and 100 mm), which is fine by me. Extreme high quality crafsmannship - forget specialized, trek and the others. Thats standard products in good quality. This is the top. Is gives back what you put into it. Nothing less, nothing more. After 6 years break frem competition i started out again using an EPIC. Good idea to get started and i still use it when training or on the long runs when my back and neck needs a more plush ride, but EPIC lacks speed. Have also tried out the new carbon bling bling hartailframes. I´ll stick to alu frames a while when it comes to XC competition under normal conditions - on the road its a different matter.

Weaknesses:    To expensive, but i bought it cheap (usually sells for - in todays dollar - 2300 $. Thats because its an 2004 model made for disc and v-brake. I suppose I´ll never use v-brake on my compition bike again, so thats extra weight. Also, the stickers come of to easy.

Bottom Line:
Buy one. Its made to last a lifetime, and it will give you uncompromising stiffness, speed and lovely looks.
