Strengths:    Weight, climbing, build quality

Weaknesses:    BB92 bottom bracket, difficult to use with cable disc brakes

Bottom Line:
This frame replaced a Soma Groove that I bent in a crash. The fit and finish are terrific!! Weight is very good! I built the bike using parts that you would find on a $1200 store bought bike, and came in at about 23.5 pounds. climbing is effortless, and it reacts FAST!!!

Only real downsides are 1: the BB92 press fit bottom bracket! Just give me a more traditional setup please! And 2: because of rear caliper placement, it's difficult to properly set up a cable disc brake like my Avids... If it wasn't for these two things, I would give it 5 peppers

Fox float 36 on a whippet

I'm going 650b with my whippet, so I'm looking for a 100mm fox fork that will fit a 650b Nobby Nic. I found a 2012 Fox 36 Float RLC 160 that's been lowered to 100mm. It's a sweet fork that's not to expensive. I know that it's a freeride fork with a 20mm thru axel. My question is will it be too big, ... Read More »
