I purchased this bike for my wife from someone on craigslist who had spray painted it and completly trashed it. The frame was still in good shape (other than the paint) as well as the XT rear derailleur, the Truvativ FireX 3.0 crankset and the BB5 mechanical disc brakes. The frame is very light and the geometry is very agressive, comfortable and inspires confidence. All REI members know their customer service is tough to beat and their products are almost always top notch. This bike is no exception.

This bike really has no weaknesses to mention considering the price point when new.

Lightweight.
Simple.
Straightforward.
