Strengths:    Mike himself; beautiful welds; experience; relatively short wait time for custom.

Weaknesses:    There are never weaknesses with Mike's bikes unless you make a mistake in the specification.

    Bottom Line:
This is my third DeSalvo. It shows the measure of trust I have in Mike that I went with a titanium singlespeed. I'd worried that a custom MTB wouldn't be as exciting as a custom road or cross bike, but this bike proves otherwise. It feels smaller, tighter, lighter, faster than my other MTBs and Mike's evaluation of fit and his experience with MTB geometry resulted in the total package and the best in a long series of really nice custom bikes I've been lucky enough to own. More than that, the good experience of dealing with Mike himself adds one of the most important aspects -- interaction between customer and builder -- to the custom process. I am really happy with the whole thing, start to finish.
