Strengths:    Well built. Quite a good spec for the price.

Weaknesses:    2008 model. Second frame, first frame broke at bridging piece between seat stays. Now have later 2009 frame. XT Shadow rear deurallier can be a pain to set up. Sweet when it works properly. Easily affected by mud on cables.

Bottom Line:
Marin customer support is excellent,no problem exchanging frame free of charge under warranty. I would do a thorough check of frame if buying second hand. I've been lucky with the bottom bracket as I heard of premature failure with the Trutativ chainset. XT chainset will be my next purchase.

Strengths:    Very reliable and easy to handle, turns like a small rat.
Amazing hydroformed frame build.

Weaknesses:    None so far. Anodized colr is a little bit sensitive with rocks but that's it.

Bottom Line:
If you can buy this Marin Nail Trail Frame and build it with good components you will get an amazing experience.
Climps like a goat. I have also installed a specialized suspension seat post which made my rides very confy.
