Strengths: Stiff, handles incredibly well, strong, looks great! overall good valueWeaknesses: slightly heavy but no more above average for the priceBottom Line: This bike is a great buy at its price, overall good value, stock wheelset never needed truing during the one and a half years I used it. Although everything has been swapped out and the only truly original part is the frame..I fully back Marin. (Originally this bike weighed 30.4 lbs. now it ways 24.6)
I have the connections to get Specialized at cost and although Specialized is an incredible company and delivers a top of the line product.. I will always stick by Marin. I can't speak for Specialized's customer support but as for Marin..I've never received better. They are more than willing to listen to anything you have to say and in the rare case that you have something go wrong with your bike..they fully stand behind it, even after the warranty expires. Bottom line, Marin has an awesome product and is an awesome company.

Strengths: Solid frame, steers great and good brand name products added.Weaknesses: the front shocks are a little soft.Bottom Line: for the money i paid and the great warranty i got from the store i could not find a better deal. The frame is very unique with the combination of the shape, weight and style. It rides great. When anyone rides the bike they always comment on how light it is in comparison to their thoughts of it before getting on. Simple point and go riding for the tight trails i ride on. Later on i would replace the front shocks with something with better adjustment. I think this is a great bike for a person just getting into the sport or a weekend warrior.

Strengths: Excelent frame! It´s very easy to control the ride! The bike is very agile climbing and also very fast when you want to speed it up.Weaknesses: None, yetBottom Line: The great deal is the frame. It´s very smooth and fast in uphill and in single tracks. You can always control the bike, even when you think, that you are going to smash into a tree..
I tunned my Eldrige with a Magura Julie discbrakes, Rockshox Tora fork, and i can say that the bike is still very light. Excelent design!
