Strengths: It's about as cheap as a bike-store bike gets. The headset looks cool. The frame's pretty solid. The whole bike is pretty light stock (29.5 lbs).Weaknesses: Both derailleurs, the Altus caught in the spokes of the back wheel and bent in 3 different places, and the fd performs like crud most of the time. The generic rims warp easily. The seatpost is pretty much broken. The pedals aren't worth the plastic they're made of, neither is the "bash guard". The cranks are making grinding noises that probably mean the whole thing need to be repacked.Bottom Line: I've had a lot of problems with this bike in the first three months I've had it (2 broken hangers, 1 broken rd, broken seatpost, screwy fd, cranks making noises they aren't supposed to make), but that's probably my own fault, this is an entry-level xc bike, and a darn good one, but I've been using it for a lot of urban stuff lately, and flat concrete landings isn't what this bike was made for.
