Strengths:    Lightwaight,Handles nicely,Takes a beating.rims are strong.shifters are great.I've did 3 foot drops with it and it's held up great

Weaknesses:    Derailers,Hand grips are prone to slipping

Bottom Line:
I've rode this bike hard, wrecked it a few times and the only problem I've had is the rear derailer but a trek in the same price range comes with the same one,But without disk brakes. It's a very upgradable bike. For the money you can't beat it.I would recommend this bike to anyone looking to get into mountain biking. It's great for tearing up single track.Overall I think I got a great deal.

Strengths:    Good overall beginner bike. Decent components for the price. Like the paint scheme too.

Weaknesses:    Everything is good enough for me so far.

Bottom Line:
I was looking for a bike to get me started in this sport, and Dick's had it on sale so I thought I'd try it. I like it better than my one friend's Trek and just as much as my other friend's specialized. If you are looking for a good dependable beginner bike, wait until it goes on sale and get one. You can upgrade some components down the road and still not have as much invested as some of the big name bikes!

Weaknesses:    The crank arms stripped but i only think it is a problem that the mechanic made.

Bottom Line:
It is a great bike in this price range.

Strengths:    very good bike with a great price, it is strong i weigh in at about 270 and holds me great, the disks are good but need adjustments and the tires have great grip.

Weaknesses:    Grips are pretty bad for my taste, not too fond of the seat but can handle it

Bottom Line:
For the great price its an awesome bike will be even better with upgrades, very strong like it alot and am happy with the buy its alot nicer than the diamonbacks, my friend has one and it feels like the cranks are gonna snap in half, i compared it to the ironhorse bikes and its the same as the maverick team but with different tires and seat and model but has all the same parts

Strengths:    Great front suspension. The componeents work as they should.Once you get the brakes right there great.

Weaknesses:    You have to adjust the disc breaks when you by the bike. When I bough the bike the front tire wasn't true. the suspension ajuster hardly works.

Bottom Line:
Wow, this is a great bike that can take big hits a nd will satisfy the intermediate rider. I would recomen this bike to anyone.

Strengths:    Inexpensive. Compared to some other bikes ive boughten, including trek and cannondale this is probably my favorite

Weaknesses:    Crankset & shifters I changed them over to my XT. The sr suntour crankset was not durable enough and I put on a splined tru vativ bb and crank. Much better

Bottom Line:
Inexpensive enough to get started or to buy a new bike and then upgrade. The frame holds up very well for bigger riders too (im 220#) it is my favorite bike of all I have which include a Cannondale 400 and Trek 6000. By this bike at dicks for cheap then spend the extra money you save on better components then walk over the competition. because now you ahve a bike as comperable but didnt spend your mortgage to get it.

Strengths:    Everything! This bike is light it's brakes work great in mud! The shifters on it never skip! The shock on it never bottomed out even on big jumps. The frame hasen't cracked once and i always go biking with my friends off jumps. The jumps are like 5ft high i guess. The biggest drop i did with it was 10 ft.

Weaknesses:    none

Bottom Line:
buy this bike if you can!! Its so good for the price!!

Strengths:    It looks good.Mine came with rockshox judy1 and they haven't bottomed out yet. The tires roll well and climb good too. Disk brakes are okay i guess. Shifters are okay too they sram 4

Weaknesses:    The rims. I can't find out what they are. They bent a little off a 3 foots jump.

Bottom Line:
its a good bike for the rprices i got it and if any one knows what rims that came with mine email me

Strengths:    Great paint job, good use of color layout(Like the black rims)
Disc breaks-maybe not great but hayes are nice
Rock shox fork 100mm travel
aluminum frame
Good crank

Weaknesses:    Simano acera
Black rims look good but are cheap
Cheap lookign shifters

Bottom Line:
For what I paid i got a steal. The only big gripe I have with this bike is the ocassional shifting. Acer is good on teh road and semi okay on light to moderate trails. Light frame and good balance design wise. Only thing that could make this better would be replacing the acer. But even with the acer i still smoke everyone.

Strengths:    Frame

Weaknesses:    rear derailleur, fron derailleur, cranks, fork, handlebars.

Bottom Line:
This bike stock is quite entray level but on a budget it is excellent. being i am a big guy, i need better components therefore why i upgraded everything but brakes and headset and saddle. Rims are ok but hubs arent that great. thats the next upgrade. The reason I got this bike is the frame geometry is perfect for me at 6'1 in height.
Go and buy one. U will not regret it.

Strengths:    well for starters its got alot of WTB parts on it. good rims, and hayes mech. discs. and looks intemidating

Weaknesses:    the judy C sucks, once you ride an air fork you know it sucks. the tires are great on dry ground but do nothing but spin on wet roots, for i while i had a problem with the cranks coming off because the guy at sport check who built it is incompitant and was putting grease on them, so no longer do i take my bike there for work.

Bottom Line:
this is a great bike for the price. i came in the top 3 out of 30 riders in two races this year with this bike and the funny thing is my bike was the cheapest one there. the kids on the carbon trek fuels weren't laughing at me after i crossed the line before them. this is a great bike to start racing on, once you get good at racing start thinking of upgrading parts or if carbon bikes are cheap by that time then get one. i know i will

Strengths:    Great bike at this price range. Very agressive tires.

Weaknesses:    The fork.

Bottom Line:
I'll also point out that I work at a "rural" Sport Mart. What this means is that I get bikes on a discount, as well as all else. We pay cost. Cost is usually half of what the public pays.

I'd just like to point out to other people who've purchased Iron Horses at either Sport Check/Sport Mart; that the reason the bikes are so cheap there is because there is no set Canadian price. As in, the bikes aren't supposed to be sold in Canada at all.

The promoninet brand at these Forzani dealers is Tribal. Tribal is (we think) made by Iron Horse. These stores FINALLY want to compete with real specialty stores. This is the first move.

Because there is no set price, we end up paying what the American's pay. They pay 450 American, we end up paying 450 Canadian. I hope that this post makes SOME sense... but I'm realistic and know that it doesn't.
