Strengths:    Good entry level bike for dirt trails and city riding. Good frame used by haro through most of its bottom end lineup. Vary light in comparison to my old steel framed bike.

Weaknesses:    Just about all the components. Tourney rear derailure fails under load. 50mm fork is weak. V-brakes need an upgrade. The bike really needs a lower gear. The seat looks bad. Needs double wall rims.

Bottom Line:
I bought this bike knowing that i would be upgrading probably every part. I like the feel, due to light weight over my buddies trek 820. Its a good bike for getting around town. I would recomend spending the $$ and getting a bike with much better components. Not bad if your on a budget. If you want to get out on trails and hit them hard you'll destroy everything but the frame like I did.

Bought a Haro Flightline S

I shopped around all day and rode many different bikes all right around my budget ($300). I rode a Giant boulder, Trek 820, Fuji etc. They were all basically very similar but the Haro was lighter with the aluminum frame and the shop owner was a really nice guy. I spent 290+ tax. How did i ... Read More »

First off, looking to replace a stolen bike from college. It's flat around here so I've never truly ridden trails but I've biked a lot since I was little... Previous two bikes were a redline rl340 and then a generic mountain bike for college. I'm looking for something I can just bomb around town ... Read More »

Dart 2's Lockout on Flightline Comp

I am shopping some bikes & test rode a Flightline Comp today and was overall very impressed w/ the bike, but noticed the lockout on the Dart 2s did not really work great and still left a lot of bounce. Is the lock out just not that great on those forks, or does that sound like maybe a case of th ... Read More »
