The hard-tail that all others are measured by. When you're ready to graduate from that first rig you bought - the one they told you was capable of being ridden off-road, but which was really ready for campus cruising - the Avalanche is without question the bike you want. More than just a bike which you can ride about town, the Avalanche is also equipped for gnarly trails and sublime single track. With lightweight, triple-triangle aluminum frames, trail-ready component specs, and front suspension, the Avalanche is chomping at the bit to earn its wings. Are you?
I have had this bike for 5 years using both on/off road and have found it to excellent for both of these terrains. I have not had any mechanical issues with this bike and have found it to be of very good quality under "normal" use. I purchased this bike when I was 45 years old and still use it today, recommending it to anyone looking for a quality built bike at an reasonable price. This is bike is not made for hard an heavy use, if so, upgrades on some of the mechanical components will be needed. Overall would buy this bike again.
