Strengths: frame is a tank... fairly light
(review is for the 2005 model)Weaknesses: the components suck miserably. spent an additional $275 on upgrading damn near every single componentBottom Line: Frame can take a beating, but unless you plan on upgrading almost all components, the rest of the bike will quickly fall apart. I bought this bike on a wim before i tested and researched much. the set up i have now works well, but if i had to do it over again i would have gone a different direction. I guess it would not be bad if you plan on taking it easy on the trails and jumps, but anything advanced you should go another direction.

Strengths: nice geometry, easy to control, the x-zoom fork is actually pretty decent. grip shifts aren't anything special but they work, most of the time.Weaknesses: for some reason, everybody who has this bike breaks the rear axle, and the frame breaks every axle you put in there, no matter the setup or how hard you ride. The pedals break after a month or two of riding. the chain has finally worn out after a year, not too bad i guess. I bent the frame at the chainstay. there's no bashguard, and because the front sprockets are riveted together, you can't put a bashguard on unless you replace the entire front gearset, and possibly the cranks. the paint gets all black wherever any grease touches it, and is impossible to get the black marks off. The wheels dont have disc hubs, and bend out of true exceptionally quickly.
the whole bike's kinda heavy too. I bent the saddle in a fall a month after getting the bike.Bottom Line: don't buy this bike. even if you are just starting out dirt jumping, or riding street or whatever, save for something better, because this bike doesn't even keep up with beginners. This bike's a money pit, it's always broken somehow. maybe buy this bike if you want to learn how to do repairs, i've learned quite a bit.

Bike Setup: this is actually about the 2005 Panic (not air or comp- the entry level one)
I switched to a new wheelset in the rear with a freehub, and it has wellgo pedals now. plus the saddle i took off my old bike.

Strengths: The whole bike is very strong yet keeps the weight at a minimum. its 30lbs but feels al lot lighter. the stock setup includes high quality kenda tyres tough truvativ cranks and chainset. suntour 100mm fork can be adjusted (preload) for road and trail.wide handlebars with 1 inch rise make the bike very controllable. short chainstays good for manuals and hops etc. good all round tough bike that can be used downhill, small freeride, dirt jump, street etc.Great for beginners and great value that looks goodWeaknesses: the suntour fork isnt great. small bump response is poor but it takes the hits and keeps the bike fast. the pedals are downgraded to give a better drivetrain.they are cheap plastic so i replaced mine almost straight away. I also found the same problem with the deralliuer but i also fixed it. overall nothing majorBottom Line: Great beginners bike for all types of riding that will last a while and take a beating. Great value and brilliant spec for the price

Strengths: Frame is very solid, this bike will take a beating, not too horribly heavy, average components. kenda kolossal DH tiresWeaknesses: heavy suspension, for some reason the tires were so big they got in the way of the derailer when trying 2 get into first gear in the front, but thats fixable.Bottom Line: Good solid entry level bike for trail riding and urban riding, good for the price, plus its a tank so thats a bonus too. recommended for beginners.
