Strengths: Very sturdy and balanced with the correctly fitted frame this bike feels like its a part or extension of yourself.Weaknesses: None noted so farBottom Line: To put it bluntly this bike is awesome if you hit the trails on the weekends and want to have fun this bike is for you. The best deal on wheels for a 29er I don't feel diamondback made any real short cuts to bring the bike to the public for cheap. I'm not a racer or downhiller I ride with my buddies and we have a good time. This is a great bike hands down.

Strengths: Great Frame, strong wheels for a budget bike. Drive train while being on the lower end shifts great. Brakes stop well.Weaknesses: Dart 3 29er Fork is really flexy under my clydesdale weight, I ended swapping it out for a Rigid fork.Bottom Line: Great way to get into a 29er on a budget. The bike is a little on the heavy side, but that's ok for me because I am a bigger guy anyways. Its a real nice frame, so its definitely worthy of upgrades. My plans are get a Tora, and a stiffer crankset and ride the hell out of it.

Strengths: Value.
29er.
Looks and rides great.Weaknesses: Components are mid grade but work just fine.
Weight.Bottom Line: My wife and I own a pair of these 2008 Diamondback Overdrive 29'ers. Loads of fun to ride and it's an incredible 29'er value for the money. One of the best deals anywhere... I know because I looked at all the major brands (Specialized, Cannondale, etc) when shopping for a 29'er. Nothing else new can touch it right now (2008) for the money... Period!
Components are mid grade for this model, but they work good. If you want higher end, replace the components over time (like I plan to do) or just jump straight to the Overdrive Pro. Nice thing is they both share the same awesome aluminum Diamondback frame.
You can't go wrong with this bike and if it's available, jump on it. You won't regret it.
