Date Reviewed: April 27, 2010

Strengths:    No issues except the breaks.

Weaknesses:    Breaks need to be adjusted often.

Bottom Line:
I have used this bike for downhill use for the last two years and have not had a problem. Nothing broke, everything was strong enough, the breaks were compatible with the speed at times. Light for climbing up and stable coming down. Great for x country.

Date Reviewed: November 5, 2007

Strengths:    tires haven't popped yet

Weaknesses:    the disc brakes need to be adjusted every couple of weeks (I ride 2-3x / week in the city, have hardly taken it cross-country). Sometimes the cables get stretched out, often there is continuous rubbing of the front wheel. Have had to replace a couple cables already.

Bottom Line:
Not a terrible bike but just going off curbs I can tell I wouldn't want to take it downhill. I hope to upgrade asap!

Strengths:    Good value priced, Reasonable ride, good parts. Very light for this price range.

Weaknesses:    Agreed that the brakes and lines go wonky easily.

Bottom Line:
Great bike for the buck. Impresed with the overall. expect to spend alot of time tweaking cus everything comes loose.

Date Reviewed: November 6, 2005

Strengths:    cheap, only 650 Can.

Weaknesses:    alot of things. the fork is terrible, the brakes easiily get wonky, almost everything is kind of weak

Bottom Line:
its alright I guess if you just rided around the city, but i wouldn't recomend it for someone who actually rides on any trails other than walking paths. I like it because it was cheap, but its not really much of an XC bike, even though they say it is. i would go with a Kona or Specialized or Norco or Rocky or anything in this price range, because they all seem to be better.
