Created specifically for women with Liv/giant’s 3F design philosophy, Intrigue is perfectly balanced to improve both climbing and descending. The lightweight ALUXX SL aluminum frame features special women’s-specific geometry, engineered to optimize the light, agile and super stable 27.5-inch wheels. And with 5 inches of plush Maestro Suspension travel, you’ll have more control-and fun-on technical trails. Additional features include the tapered OverDrive 2 steerer tube and 15mm front thru-axle for more precise steering, plus special cable routing for a dropper seatpost so you can dial in saddle height, on the fly, while riding varying terrain.
Strengths: Women's specific build, grip shifts, suspension, dropper post, colors
Weaknesses: Price (a little expensive for not being carbon, Intrigue 1 - $3,750), poor dropper post switch placement
My wife and I just purchased an Intrigue 1 (shown in the picture but not represented in the price). She had her first long weekend on the bike this past weekend and is completely loving it. She's 5'3" and fits into a small perfectly. The 5.5" of travel makes the down hills much easier. She says the 27.5 wheels (compared to 26) roll and climb much smoother as well. Over all she highly recommends this bike to any women wanting to take a step up from your average XC bike.
