Strengths: Super smooth, handles all terrain with ease. This bike is the ultimate go anywwhere machine when it comes to off road tandems. Unriveled In all aspects. The competition does not even come close to matching the new 29er Ventana tandem. This bike inspires confidence at all levels on all terrain.Weaknesses: Spec your brakes carefully as well as your front uspension. These are two items that should be as highend as possible. The better the choice, the better the ride. As for the bike its self, there are none.Bottom Line: We have bought the bike from Alex Nutt at MTB tandems, and shipped itmto South Africa, this is our second Ventana in three years, the 29er is an upgrade from our 26er. Our experience started with the most amazing customer focesed service that MTB tandems have given us. This bike is currently being raced in RSA on a weelky basis and is getting exposed to extreme racing condition week in and week out. To date, the upgrade from the 26 to 29 er has been an worthwhile exersice. The bike offers superb value for money, exceptional quality, and offers an unriveled riding experience for both myslef and my stoker. The bike has been speced with the latest White Brothers Groove inverted front suspension, and this has proved to be the right choice, despite the extra wiegght of the forks. If you are buying an off road tandem, this is the one to have.

Strengths: We have a coupled version in the 29er. Ride is very plush with the WTB Loop fork. We also have the bike in a 26 and the tandem is well suited to the 29er wheels size. We did a moderate high end build with Chris King hubs/headset/Middleburn cranks and SRAM 3X10 drivetrain. It all works well together.Weaknesses: The 29er wheels naturally gear the bike up a bit and we did notice it on a few of the climbs. We just need to get a little fitter.Bottom Line: Full suspension tandems are the best value in tandems as a similar quality road tandem would be 40% more and not nearly as much fun.
