Single speeds are simple, but by no means primitive. Riding a single speed is such a pure riding experience that it will make you a better rider...riding a Monolith will make you a happier one. It's a single speed of epic proportions, thanks to our own geometry; hand-selected, triple-butted, premium steel tubing and craftsmanship that'll make you drool. If you prefer disc brakes, we offer an eccentric bottom bracket option.

  • Hand-selected premium steel tube set.
  • Available with disc or linear pull brake mounts.
  • All tubes sealed to keep out water, seat tube drain hole.

    Strengths:    light, very smooth, attention getter, bottle opener, good welds, stiff enough

    Weaknesses:    rear tire clearance, shortish top tube

    Bottom Line:   
    good bike for those who have a shortish torso. not so good if you have a longer one. very classic xc bike, good for long rides, not brutally stiff, very light frame. also: the fork deserves a shout out, the single best rigid fork money can buy. (currently) nice finishing details, all holes sealed...also should be noted: the retail on this bike is almost half that of an indy fab or seven, but the craftsmanship is 93 percent as good. and the paint is far better...
