Duration Product Used:
Less than 1 month
Price Paid:
$700.00
Purchased At:
pedal shop ashburn, va
Strengths:
solid frame for a beginner ss 29er that wont break the bank. can do all the trails and hills (no real mtbs by this old man) that i did with my geared bike. rolls over and threw roots, rocks, creek beds, small children etc. with no problem.
Weaknesses:
kept the bike fully rigid, and i have a new appreciation for the advancement in technology. teeth will chatter on really rough terrain. had tire rub in back early, but was my own fault for not putting disc breaks on correctly. easy fix.
Bike Setup:
stock except disc brakes geared 30-20 (i think????)
Bottom Line:
fun, fun, fun. it will take you back to a simpler time. the maintenance (or lack of) is nice. have not missed a day with it since i got it. i am a tweener 5'10 and got the large and it worked out great for me. the fit is good, but not perfect. i have banged the bike around enough already to safely say it is a rugged piece of fun. will eventually undo the fully rigid set up, but plan on chattering my teeth for a bit longer. this bike is a good buy for former bmx'r, trail riders that look for more action, commuters that do it for fun as much as function.
