Strengths:    Well built, total simplicity. That "Something" you only get with hand built items. Cool frame, built by a cool shop.

Weaknesses:    No disc bosses, but when was the last time you rode a good set of V brakes? They work pretty good. No clear coat over decals. Certainly No deal breakers.

Bottom Line:
This is the first SS I have had since racing Hutch BMX bikes in the early '80's. It is a total kick to ride. Nice riding steel SS frame, can't hardly go wrong there.

Kirkwood ridge via 206 / Beaver Creek (New Hebgen Loop for me, no pixels)

So camped out on Beaver Creek Sat Night and self-shuttled my car to Kirkwood trailhead and backtracked via bike the 7 miles to the 206 trailhead. On Sunday I took off from my campsite at the trailhead, and rode Cub/Red Canyon 206 trail past Axolotl Lake, past the Cabin Creek cutoff to Kirkwood do ... Read More »

trail 37, beaver creek, red ives area of the st joe

i rode trail 37 in the st joe country this past weekend. Don't waste your time. Theoretically it should make for an excellent loop, but the trails in that area, just are not that good on a mtn bike. The trail sidehills up to the ridge top. takes roughly 8 miles to get there. the trail is not ... Read More »

Beaver Creek State Park (OH) trail work

We had a trail work day on Sunday, but of course it was Easter so there was a small turnout. We still got a significant amount of work done on the new trail.
