Strengths: Decent components, nice frame for a kids bike.Weaknesses: Heavy although lighter that pretty much all other 20" kids bike. The fork (as delivered) is lame like all other kids forks.Bottom Line: A very nice bike, easily upgradeable. The fork rework makes a huge difference. My kid can ride it over everything but the most technical trails.

Similar Products Used: Considered the IBEX 20" (couldn't ride it though), tested all the usual stuff at the LBS.
Bike Setup: light weight handle bar, tubes, tires and set post, added power straps (my 7-year old keeps buggin me for clipless), 8-speed grip shifter, restrung rear wheel with a Deore cassette hub and 12-32 cassette (didn't have to get new spokes - sweet), new grips, the shop reworked the fork so it actually works, bike computer

Strengths: Decent components for the priceWeaknesses: Not enough gear for trail ridingBottom Line: The bike doesn't have a low enough gear for trail riding. I took my son out last night and he ended up pushing the bike on anything hilly/rocky. It is 6 speed with a 40 front and a 14-28 rear. Would be nice to have either a lower gear on the rear or a double front so it would be better off road. I emailed Haro about the upgrade. We'll see how long it takes for a response.
If you are buying to do off road riding in a rocky/ technical area like New England look for something with more gear or be prepared to make changes. Would be great for smooth trails and rolling hills, etc.
Besides that it made it through the first ride of an 8 year old without a flaw. In Haro's defense, the gearing on this seems to be a pretty common setup on 20" bikes. I was dying to get him a 24" Specialized FSR but it was just too big. Maybe in a year or so...
