Strengths: This is the lightest I could find. Good chain guide (compared to Specialized, those chains seems to pop off more on trails), derailleur guard - because kids always bang into things.Weaknesses: Short top tube, relatively high stand over clearance, no front QR.Bottom Line: Meanwhile, the frame is a bit cramped on him, but he is too small for most 24" bikes.
It's a great value, really light frame, but I had to add a few things to it to make it work how I wanted. The longer Specialized bikes would fit my kid better now, and now he is more willing to go out on the trail with me.
Good if your kids has long legs compared to torso. (my kid is average)
Duration Product Used: 1 Year
Purchased At: Off Ramp
Similar Products Used: Demo'd Specialized, Haro, Trek
Bike Setup: Ultegra rear der. Added long seat post. I added the RST Capa fork after the kid was getting sore hands on bumpy trails. Also added QR from axle.
