Date Reviewed: September 24, 2008

Strengths:    Tough frame, good riding position, wheel package is quite good, good basic setup.

Weaknesses:    Derailer destroys paint & smacks rocks, stem is too long and flexable, forks have 1.5 year usage and pedels are crap. Its one heavy unit.

Bottom Line:
Great bike to use as a starting point or for little usage, in standard form I managed to break most things. I also managed to get the hydraulics fitted new for the same price as it was old stock. I am still running the M dirtjam folks but they rebound way too fast...they are shagged. Good for trails and freeride... Mount Buller Destroyed my derailer after 1 month and cranks had to be smashed off bottom bracket after 1.5years.

I still love it :o)

Strengths:    Shimano Deore Gearing, changes well, easy to clean, fantastic brakes, extremely powerful, love the fork

Weaknesses:    quick release, is it neccessary and shimano deore gearing keeps hitting the paint work

Bottom Line:
Best Bike ever!
I recommend this bike to guys who want to ride on fire trails and dirt jumping.
No problems so far, frame really really strong and gearing so far is really good. Best thing is the hydraulic disc brakes. Couldn't go back to V brakes, their crap.
Cant beat the fork either.

Weaknesses:    expensive if buying full price

Bottom Line:
to the guy who said this bike is better than the giant stp-1, let me know what drug you were on cause I want some and the stp1 blows this bike away like sand in the wind.
