Planet X Ridgeback Hardtail Frame Freeride Hardtail

5/5 (1 Reviews)

Product Description

An urban legend. By using the latest and greatest 6061 triple heat-treated hydro-formed aluminum, Planet X has been able to increase rigidity without a weight penalty. The look is big and burly, but all is not what it seems.

Strengths:    Frame is very stiff and light, geometry is awsome, when built it accelerates very fast. If you race dual slalom, mountain cross or dirt jump this is the frame for you.
This is the best hardtail frame I have ever had.

Weaknesses:    I had trouble with mounting the rear brake, the disk mounts wouldnt let the caliper align the way it should, otherwise this frame kicks a$$.

Bottom Line:
This frame is awsome, its totally worth the money. Like I said earlier it is great for dual slalom, mountain cross and dirt jumping. If built up right it can even be a great street/trials bike. This frames needs and extra long skewer for the rear drop out, salsa skewers are the only ones I found to fit besides planet x skewers.
