Submitted by marcus099 a Weekend Warrior from collingwood
Date Reviewed: July 31, 2009
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $1200.00
Purchased At:little ed's
Strengths:extremely tough bike. drop it off 30 foot drops everyday. stock forks have 150mm, 8" hydraulic discs. the bike's a beast

Weaknesses:two gears on front 8 on the back. the highest gear isn't high enough to do a ride of more than an hour away. anything more than that and youd better egt a taxi.
Bike Setup:bomber 686, sunrims s-type's on it
Bottom Line:amazing bike for the money and can take anything you can throw it off of. best to describe this bike is "brute". for a build this bike is sick

Date Reviewed: July 3, 2008
Favorite Trail:Two Sheiks
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $1000.00
Purchased At:Trail Bike
Strengths:Burly, pretty good component spec for the price...
Weaknesses:Pretty weighty...
Similar Products Used:Norco Torrent...
Bike Setup:Fox 36 Talas RC2, Race Face Cranks, SRAM drivetrain, Magura Louise FR's
Bottom Line:I bought my 2006 Brute in August 2007, Can't complain for $1000. This bike can take pretty much whatever you throw at it. Super burly out of the box! I did a bit of housekeeping on mine and scalped of the not so great parts (Fork, Cranks, Tires, tubes.... etc) now that she's a little bit leaner it's a lot more versatile.
