Strengths: Versatility, smoothness and overall ride quality.Weaknesses: Sizing is a little large and odd but the slack head angle brings it back to goodness. Its a very different size to everything else I have and I can't quite work out why but it works.Bottom Line: This bike is just awesome, everything I ask of it is just done. It just does everything so smoothly and balanced. It can be built up heavy or light. I chose to light in some places that I never break and heavy in others. But the Hammerschmidt is an awesome addition.

Strengths: Solid build kit, well made frameWeaknesses: Frame is sized BIG. I'm 5'10" and ride a small. (I like small bikes, but I've NEVER fit a small before this bike)Bottom Line: I've ridden a-lot of bikes in the 6-8" travel range over the years and this is the most versatile bike I've been on. It really is a do anything bike. A true 7" of travel and with a few parts swaps can be built under 30 pounds! I'll pedal this bike all day and never get tired. Next day I'll take it for shuttle runs and it does great. It's one of the plushest feeling air shock bikes I've ever ridden. Depending on how you adjust the rear shock it can ramp up like a regular air shock or it can be as linear as a coil. Sizing is a bit odd. I like my bikes to fit a little on the small side, but I've never ridden a small frame before this bike. At the shop I bought it from they sold their medium to a 6' tall rider and it was a perfect fit.
Favorite Trail: What ever I'm riding at the time

Strengths: Solid as a rock yet smooth and mobileWeaknesses: 3-5lbs heavyBottom Line: For those that want one bike (cliche) this is it (so far 2 months) this is the tightest bike I have riden. If you want a XC?? bike or I mean an all mountain bike?? What is this thing?? That can roll anything and smoke the downward line this is it. I was impressed with how well this bike pedals uphill with the slack head angle and amount of travel. I'm 6'3" on a large and the front wheel stays on the trail on steep climes. If your a weight weenie need not apply and do some squats. I think the extra weight is worth it. This bike is pure FUN!!
Favorite Trail: Holy Cross, Moore Fun
Duration Product Used: Less than 1 month
Price Paid:
$4500.00
Purchased At: Ruby Canyon!!
Similar Products Used: Tuff, not many all mtn bikes that can pull off a 7" XC ride like this
