Strengths:    I had it on mountain and doing down hill, Its forks(Nixon Super) is extremely good, and rear shox is not that good in case of corresponding with road condition, and rear shox is leaking air as hill! I have to re-pump every 3 days. Hayes disc brakeset is excellent at all weather. frame is too haevy to carry around! not good for climbing.

Weaknesses:    weight and rear shox unit.

Bottom Line:
good bike in conclusion, if you are weekend coast knight don't buy this bike. however you can speak for it if you are real FR hardcore.

Strengths:    This bike rides anywhere and over anything. Smooth ride, up or down, logs, stumps whatever. I like single track riding, with lots of hills/terrain; this bike does it. Wet ground and it's Bontrager Big Earl tires hug and ride. It's heavy duty, takes a beating, never broken a part. Amazingly easy to power up hill while very stable on the steep downs.

Weaknesses:    It's heavy! 39lbs.

Bottom Line:
I love this bike. My husband, who finally started riding, loves this bike. Thinking of buying another for him since he always uses mine and I'll do anything to get him riding.

Strengths:    There is none, its a peice of crap.

Weaknesses:    uncomfortable, shocks are horrible, brakes are squekey.

Bottom Line:
the bike overall would be good for a two year old, but really it isnt worth crap. in my oppinion this bike shouldnt be used by anyone who really feels the need to ride on a trail or over a mountain.

Strengths:    well built frame (American made quality)
pedals well uphill with spv

Weaknesses:    There is a strange creak comming from the linkage or shock.
The seat clamp doesn't hold seatpost in place to well.

Bottom Line:
When I built this bike I had to get used to the spv system. When I tried to get input from both Trek and Manitou they both had no good answers about how to setup my rear shock for air pressure and coil preload. After a little time with the bike I did get it ride properly. This bike is awsome once you get past some of the suspension woes. My suggestion is to run air pressure lower than the suggested from manual from manitou as well as giving yourself a little more sag than recommended. When I followed the specs. from manitou my Liquid rode like My Trek 8000 hard tail. The bike overall has great travel (5.2in rear) and rides very well for freeride and agressive xc.
