Strengths: Such a beautiful object, my one is in fox grey colour an has menacing Weaponry aspect (confess I bought only for that). Extremely stiff, not only in the front as you can guess looking at frame front construction but also at the swingarm. Reasonable weight (16 frame weights 4.400 kg with dhx 5)It is an English product and (like Pace forks)they look so different. You feel they are not 'globalized' as many UsWeaknesses: unbalanced weight, it seems like you have 3/4 of the weight high in the front of the frame at the head junction. High bb. Not so confortable (see below). Chain growth (if you see that as a problem...)Bottom Line: This frame is so stiff, especially when compared to Heckler (great frame but so flexy). This is not necessarly only a good attribute, infact the same fork and shox wich where so confortable on Heckler hardly absorb small bumps here. What you have is a very precise bike when going fast but not so confortable couse all the absorbing job is upon suspensions. So always mount it with a great front fork ad with Dhx Rear, not even think about Progressive or other. BB is very high at 38cm so use a great rear sag 40%. A good idea may be to mout a 212mm rear shox instead of 222, you'll have a little less travel but low bb and open front angle (just like recent dh trend). I've tried with 200mm dhx 5 and bike still handles well (thanks to great stiffness). You can, In my opinion find more updated projects with modern geometry (low bb)and refined rear suspension but you can't find a stiffer and better looking product

Strengths: bombproof frame, great looks, 1.5 head tube looks massive!
perfect amount of travel for uk ridingWeaknesses: if you want to use 1.5 forks on it you are stuck with manitou, shame there isn't more choice of forks with a 1.5 headtube on the market.Bottom Line: i love this bike, i use it for everything from street and dirt jumping to downhill and drops, you can even ride it uphill relativley easily if you put the seat up.
my riding has progressed hugely since i go this, it just gives me so much confidence to go bigger.
the travel is ideal for riding in the uk and it will take everything but the biggest hits with ease.
overall a top bike!
i bought it secondhand for £600 which was a bargain but brand new its not so cheap :(

Strengths: This frame feels very stiff to ride and with a good set of forks feels invinsable. This bike is also fine for light cross country ridesWeaknesses: The only promblem i can really find is the head set size but apart from that its faultlessBottom Line: I have used this in the dragons downhills and competed with much heavier bike and mines held up fine. Go on get one

Strengths: Great Handling, Stiffness and Over All Quality. The Bike allows many different styles of riding including longer uphill sectionsWeaknesses: Somewhat noisy, not as easy to ride like a Big Hit. You`ve got to work a lot and you better watch out for the right linesBottom Line: Really marvellous Bike, separates the men from the boys.

Strengths: Handles great at all but slow speeds, 1.5 head tube with 170mm manitou's is strong and light. Whole bike feels indestructible in ways I have never felt before. Bike likes being thrown about roughed up and you come out with a big smile. Whole bike about 35Ibs - climbs very well.Weaknesses: Tricky to handle at slow speed, but I try to go quick 90% of time. No other gripesBottom Line: Very nice alround bike for rough rocky trails which need 7 inches of travel all the time. Great for jumping even hucking.
Forks hug the ground at high speed, shock sucks up bumps up the climbs. Hope mono6ti rounds out a very nice package.
Its madness.
