Strengths: All round awesome... the look, the feel, the response, Feels like a professional bike, but cheaper!
The first trail I did with this bike was Livewire at Northstar Resort at Tahoe. The bike was so smooth and cleared the jumps effortlessly.
for those of you who don't know what I am talking about, Livewire is basically a trail dedicated to a series of doubles and tables, averaging around 8-10 feet.
This bike is also great for Downhill.Weaknesses: some of the stock materials that came with it were...well...like most other cheap stock components.
Although the Rock Shox Domains are awesome forks, you can't adjust the hardness of them, unless you go out and buy a harder spring. no quick adjustmens on top of the shock, just the rebound located on the bottom. Even this needs a special tool to work them
not too fond of the stock derailleur either, hard to make it shift how you want it to. maybe that was just my specific deraileur.
I've been abusing the bike, and have not had it tuned for a whileBottom Line: the weaknesses are nothing compared to the awesome strengths.
don't let me talk you out of buying one because of some stock components that were overly abused. you will get the most for your buck if you buy it.
Believe me, the feel of the bike is awesome,

Strengths: The bike is suspension is bullet proof for me so far. It was very easy to dial in.
It pedals quite well and I use this bike to commute also.
The WTB wheelset is amazing to me. It has taken everything I can give it and the wheels still spin true.Weaknesses: Brakes. The Hayes brakes that came with it rub and they are hard to modulate. This will probably go away as I learn more about them cause this is my first bike with disk brakes.
The stock Alivio derailleurs are a bit clunky and even after extensive tuning I can't get them to shift the way I want them to. I want to change these as I'm and SRAM fan.Bottom Line: This bike inspires confidence. I have bombed the stuff I have available with no problems. I am looking to upgrade drivetrain and brakes as I got the bike for a song and it makes sense to do it. I actually ride it for commuting also so it does pedal fairly well. The funny thing is when climbing a hill on the street you feel every gram this bike has and then some, but when climbing a technical trail the bike seems to hide about 2-3kg and I can make it climb like a goat.
I think this bike is a great introduction into the DH/FR bike genre and if you can find a good deal go for it.

Strengths: I found both front and back suspension smooth. Great for free riding, jumping, drops and downhill.Weaknesses: noneBottom Line: I Demo'ed this bike at my local dealership and had a blast. The bikes usage would be intermediate to advanced riders and used mostly for free riding and DH. Overall an AMASING bike 5.5 out of 5

Strengths: Good components that come stock great for gravity junkies and actually can go up(slightly).Weaknesses: None. Yet.....Bottom Line: Great bike for anyone beginner to intermediate. I was a beginner when i first got the bike and now (probably because of the bike) i am heaps better. Much better value than the Shore 2 and maybe even the Shore 1.

Strengths: built like tank but feels like it pedals itself, strong, stable in downhills, looks really niceWeaknesses: noneBottom Line: This is a great freeride bike even allround bike. If you're scared about weight - don't. These bikes are fast and you can ride uphill without problems and to be down pretty fast :) Also price/value is amazing. I don't need other bike and if I would buy one I'm sure it will be NORCO.

Strengths: cost me £999 new excellent bike. very well built. take anything you throw at it. eats drops. even on flat it just makes you ride faster its the best choice i ever made. ever part is perfect for the bike. its just so well made.Weaknesses: the forks. the drop offs work fine. its just if you pull your bars up sharply the forks will make a clang sound. no damage or fault its just how there made. its just the sound that get a bit annoying but they work really wellBottom Line: this bike should be another £800 ontop.
if you really dont like the forks making that sound. some bommers will do just the same with more travel and no noise. great first buy if you want to get into freeride or downhill

Strengths: Excellant components, gorgeous bike, good value, good for anything.Weaknesses: The pedals that came with it are boring as are the grips, and the fork rebound is very hard to adjust, otherwise, that's it!Bottom Line: Excellant value, very strong bike, good for any ride. Heavy for going up hill, but it is geared to be able to do it anyway. Beautiful bike, smooth ride, pro pedal works wonders, love to ride it! If you are looking for a do-anything bike, look no further!

Strengths: The front fork (7 inches) and back fork (8 inches) are extremely plush and smoooth on downhill demon runs. The frame geometry is not too bad either. Componetry is awesome and the 2006 hayes nines are amazingly fast and responsiveWeaknesses: The tires that come with it are not extremely big(2.5) i like to have a bigger tire on front.Bottom Line: Hey there, amazing for freeride and especially shore (hence its name) I havent tooken it on anything too harsh yet but its performing awesome so far. Hope you guys come out and get it. Even if i had paid full price for it(about 2500 canadian) I think it would be worth it. This bike is undestructable!
